Who are we?

At Den Breejen Shipyard, shipbuilding is in our blood. Established in 1947 and based in Hardinxveld-Giessendam since then, we have grown to become a major player in the inland shipping sector, both for newbuildings and for repairs and conversions. Our specialisation in the construction of river cruise vessels has earned us international recognition. We design, develop and build fully 'custom-built' vessels and are based in a modern facility with well-equipped premises (including fitting-out quays and dry docks) directly on the Merwede, one of the main waterways in the Netherlands. Den Breejen stands for quality and commitment, and the company culture is informal, open, people-oriented and pragmatic.

You're service-oriented, but you don't go crazy. Colleagues ask you to solve technical maintenance problems and you are happy to do so because you sense what is most important at that moment. • You are between the ages of 16 and 23;
• You have completed a VMBO education;
• You have interest in technology;
• Preferably, you already have some basic knowledge about shipping / shipbuilding;
• You are eager to learn, enjoy working in a team, and are open to the guidance of our practical instructors.
