Vacancy: Foreman repair

As well as new builds, we offer a complete repair and refit service. With two screw docks, repair docks and a modern machine shop, we are equipped for a wide range of work. Are you passionate about ship repair? Are you familiar with work above and below the waterline and can you lead and motivate colleagues? Then this job could be for you!

We are looking for a Repair Foreman who knows how to get things done while putting quality and customer satisfaction first.

• Supervise repair work from damage repair to class making and more
• Schedule and monitor work in consultation with the project manager
• Maintain work lists (including hours and materials used)
• Manage colleagues on and off the docks
• Contribute to safe working and quality in the workshop
• Participate in execution as required
• This is not an office job, but a challenging position where you are constantly in the middle of the action.

• MBO working and thinking level
• Thorough knowledge of shipbuilding, maritime systems and ship repair
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar function/environment
• Good command of the Dutch language (reasonable English or German is an advantage)
• Strong communication and social skills, with which you can motivate others
• Initiative to find out and solve issues
